What we clear
Drain clearing and waterblasting
If water's backing up, pooling or draining slowly, there's a blockage somewhere. A high-pressure waterblaster cuts through what's causing it and scours the pipe wall clean, so it stays clear longer than rodding.
Blocked gully traps & outside drains
The classic Hawke's Bay call-out. Overflowing gully trap, foul smell, water pooling by the wall — usually roots or a solid build-up further down the line.
Minor roots in the line
Fine roots find the smallest crack and keep coming back. High-pressure water flushes the finer growth out and gives you a proper look at how bad the line is.
Kitchen & laundry waste lines
Fat, grease and detergent scum narrow a pipe until it stops. High-pressure water removes it from the walls rather than punching a hole through it.
Stormwater, sumps & downpipes
Silt, leaves and orchard debris block stormwater lines fast. Worth clearing before the next big Hawke's Bay downpour, not during it.
Rural & lifestyle block lines
Long waste runs out to septic tanks on lifestyle blocks around Havelock North, Bridge Pa and Puketapu. We clear the lines — we don't empty tanks. Travel is included in the call-out.

Blocked drains are stressful enough without a mystery invoice. There are two call-out prices depending on what the job needs, both including travel and the first hour, and you'll hear which one applies before anyone turns up.

All prices exclude GST. Stu can usually tell from a photo which of the two it'll be, and he'll confirm it with you before he starts — you won't get the waterblast price for a job that didn't need the waterblaster. After-hours and weekend call-outs are charged at a higher rate.

How soon can you get here?
Most Hastings, Havelock North and Napier jobs are same-day or next-day. If it's an active overflow, phone rather than text and Stu will tell you straight away where he can fit you in.
Do you work weekends?
Mon–Fri 7am to 6pm, plus emergency callouts on weekends. After-hours and weekend work is charged at a higher rate, and Stu will confirm the cost with you before he starts.
What will it cost?
There are two call-out prices, both including travel and the first hour on site. A straightforward blockage cleared by hand is $95 + GST. If it needs the waterblaster — usually minor roots, silt, grease or a drain that keeps blocking — it's $210 + GST. After the first hour it's $95 + GST per hour either way, billed in 15-minute increments. Stu can often tell from a photo which one you're looking at, and he'll confirm it before he starts. After-hours and weekend call-outs are charged at a higher rate.
What if the drain is actually broken?
Then blasting it won't fix it, and we'll say so. Installing, altering and repairing drains is restricted work that only a licensed drainlayer can carry out — we'll show you what we've found and point you to someone who can do it properly.
How do I pay?
You'll get the invoice by email the same day, with bank transfer details. Payment is due on the date of issue. If you need something different, talk to Stu before he starts.
